A study was conducted to find out energy use pattern in two commercial rice mills at Raipur District of Chhattisgarh Raw rice mill consumed 2583 kWh electrical energy and 523 kWh manual energy whereas the parboiled rice mill consumed 5476 kWh electrical energy 86250 kWh thermal energy and 666 kWh manual energy for production of one tonne raw and parboiled milled rice
